THE NANYANG TIMES MAKES DEBUT

Good morning! Thank you for reading the first-ever issue of The Nanyang Times (or, more affectionately, Muggership), a collaborative newsletter that provides a platform for NYJCians to explore the world of journalism.
As a newly formed Student-Initiated Group, we truly appreciate the support that you, our readers, have lent us. We hope to provide you with an opportunity not only to enjoy our articles but also to get involved with us in creating content! To introduce you to our organisation, these are our current EXCOS:
President: Daniel Chan
Vice Presidents:
Aiden Tay (Public Relations)
Gerard Sayson (Design)
Gerard Hung (Editorial)
Hong Rui (Human Resources)
If I had a dollar for every Vice President named Gerard, I'd have two dollars, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that there are two of us. I digress.
We will strive to ensure every month’s articles feature ‘bread and butter’ topics and delve into hot-button issues. There are even some rumours that we’ll be doing a canteen review soon…
Of course, you may be wondering why a Journalism SIG is using Google Docs of all things to publish its articles. Rest assured that in due time, the other talented Gerard will create a whole website specifically for us.
We believe this SIG will provide a meaningful avenue for us to delve into the world of mass communication. Stay tuned for our next articles!
